Here are a few photos of another recent acquisition of ours from an auction a couple weeks ago. We've gotten it running and driving, but still need to clean it. I don't think it had run in many years.
It appears to be a very original Hercules body. I've searched previous discussions on Hercules bodies, but haven't found an exact match yet. It has 5-lug Jaxon wheels. At first glance I thought they were Firestones. The side windows hinge open and have Murphy fasteners on the strap on the roof to hold the open.
If anyone has addition information, I'd be glad to hear/read it.
Thanks,

Wow! Neat truck.
Thank you for sharing the photos.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
That's nice.
Hi, Chris -- That's a beauty! I'm glad it's in good hands. Here are a couple of pages from an early-20's Hercules Body catalog. The first looks very similar to yours, but with the vertical windshield divider. What a fancy paint job for a truck!
The second is a larger version for a TT truck. It looks to have the horizontal w/s divider.
BTW, I'd kill for one of those body tags for mine.
Thank you for the kind words. Mike, thanks for the ads. You're right it does look very similar with the exception of the windshield. Actually, I like the vertically split windshield. It makes it a little more unique. If I end up taking the body tag off, I will let you know. I can scan it and etch one if I have some time.
Thanks again,
Chris
Chris -- I just noticed that the small image in the top ad shows the windshield with the horizontal divider, like yours. Apparently they were available either way. The fine print in that ad says: "Windows of body can be raised and fastened to roof", which is the way yours work. I believe we have a match.
