The Search function has been disabled, use Google to search for the time being.

For example to search for front spindle type this into the google search prompt

front spindle site:www.mtfca.com

Any questions please post here and we will try to help.

No comment on StartLogic at the moment.

I suspect that's very much in the works. But with a site containing as much material as this one it's easier said than done. It will be a lot of work.

I can only imagine the hoops poor Chris had to jump through to get this ESSENTIAL SITE (getting over the shakes now...... :-) ) back up and running again!
I must ask.......IF the problem is a matter of bandwidth why isn't excess bandwidth simply charged for like any other site?
Just a shot in the dark........

I didn't mean to berate Chris in any way. StertLogic isn't his business or his fault. He does a wonderful job on this Forum. The problem is, StartLogic does not.

Geeez, I wish I understood what was going on. Both of my sons host multiple websites and they seem to be horrified if one of them goes down. They both seem to be able to recover outages in short order. As I said..I wish I understood!

Dana.......don't think Chris wasn't horrified........again.
Much, if not MOST, is dependent upon the hosting agent.......whom we have been asked to not mention.

I don't like change. I hate moving, any kind of moving. When I created and built our Web site in 1999, I was hoping that I would never have to move it. With now over 25,000 files, that you may understand.

Back then Infinology was one of the highest rated Web hosting services, so I signed up with them and put up with crappy service and blackouts and non-responsive customer service longer than I should have.

Late in 2011 our site was down for 5 days for no reason that would make sense. It was the final straw for us and I searched for another hosting service again. What we signed up with was so much better in any conceivable way, that I wish I had done it years earlier.

Sometimes, change is good, and moving is necessary.

Chris,

Thanks for all you do for our club and this site. If any of us can do anything to help, please let us know (ok for folks like me it would need to be something simple). This reminds me of a church we attended when our kids were little. The church nursery could use a facelift. Folks without kids or with kids long gone from the nursery didn't really see a need. But for those of us the toddlers in there, we were more than willing to contribute time to clean, paint, contribute money towards new furniture etc. And I know to many of us who enjoy the forum we would gladly help out if you let us know when, what, and how. In the mean time thank you so much for all you have and are doing. And have fun at the tour!

Respectfully submitted,

Hap l9l5 cut off

I sure hope some of the old farts that post are getting their "fix" this morning. To long without medication can be bad.
Yes I guess I am in that group also.

The same parameters work in Bing Search too.

By the way, the Formating page doesn't work either.

Never mind. The formatting page does show up now.

Still some strange things happening. One minute a message will post then the next I get an error.

Chris -- Thanks for all the hard work you do.

To all - Steve Jelf mentioned the big problem in moving to a new site and/or new software - the potential loss of many postings - many of which have valuable info, come from people that are no longer with us, or both!

What would we do if we lost the water-pump debate? How would I know what oil to use in my T? It would be a disaster!

Willie -- Just to make things clear - I had significant withdrawal pangs with episodes of depression, and a big panic attack before the site came back. AND I'm Proud of it!
