I had the honor of being a judge @ the Dana Point Concours d`elegance in California, last weekend. One 1913 Model T entered and it won its CLASS!!! WOW---maybe our cars are better then we think!!! heres a photo
It's over restored, but still a nice car. I'd take it....
Paul -- I hope you deducted points for the varnished spokes and demountable-rim wheels.
How can you tell if its over restored from that photo? Seems it would be more correctly described as not "correctly" restored.
Regardless, not cheaply restored that's certain....
Paul,
Congratulations! Thank you for taking one of your T’s. I would guess there were not many Ts there – so I think it was great that you were able to be there. The judges obviously agreed that it looks beautiful. And hopefully some of the folks that saw it and/or who had a chance to talk with you about the car had their interest “perked” just a little. We never know who may see our Ts or talk with us about our Ts or go for a ride with us and may become a future member of our club.
Depending on the type of event, the judging is often based on different criteria. And a car that might win the Stynoski Trophy for the best restoration of the year (Hap’s summary -- MTFCI award for being as close as possible to the day the car rolled off the assembly line) might not win anything in a car show that used different judging guidelines or one that was geared for the muscle cars etc.
We also don’t know who may read our posting or someone else’s posting and have their interest “perked” just a little to want to learn more about the Ts, the folks that made them and the folks who still work on them and drive them. But sharing your “how it went well” is an encouragement to me and I would guess to many of us. Thank you for posting the photo and sharing your “win.”
Respectfully submitted,

At a Concours if it isn't perfect stay home. The car must have been outstanding to be considered never mind winning.
I remember a 1915 touring with a starter and painted red that won 1st or 2nd in class at either Hillsdale or Stanford one year.
Concours judging is for 'beauty' and 'appeal', isn't necessary to have stock factory only appearance, the cosmetic side wins the award...its a beauty contest. If you win you have the most appealing to the eye automobile
Congratulations! on your win.
A Concours d'Elegance (from French meaning a competition of elegance, lit. "concourse of elegance", referring to the gathering of prestigious cars) dates back to 17th Century French aristocracy, who paraded horse-drawn carriages in the parks of Paris during Summer weekends and holidays
