Need to resew some of the stitching on an 11 top. Any suggestions on the best thread material to use?

Posting as an experienced top fabricator, the thread you use should not be cotton & the thread being available to use is determined by the technical features of hand sewing or machine being domestic or industrial and needle size; table space if using sewing machine. It is actually called upholstery thread. It's commonly available and you'd better have teeth like a horse or good scissors handy 'cause you'll never break it by hand.
