Title- "Men with old model Ford at Meekatharra
1919."
Does anyone in Oz recognise this rather racy looking body?
Dane,
Always appreciate the photos and information you post. I’m 80% sure the right side front seat panel is a standard 1913 touring body (probably a Canadian body since it is in Australia). Note how it appears that the original front and rear doors for that body went all the way down to the sill -- characteristic of the 1913 tourings. From Bruce’s book pg 150 (out of print), his CD page 11 of the 1913 section, and the “Vintage Ford” they have the picture below that shows how the 1913 doors came all the way down the body.
Also if you zoom in on the photo you posted you can see the touring body iron sticking out from the front seat. You can also see that in other 1913 touring photos see link further down in this posting. Of course from the front seat forward it appears o be modified. Also with the men in front of the rear body section, I cannot tell if they are standing in front of the rear door and that is why we do not see it or if they removed the rear door, removed the reat seat section or if all of that is or is not still on the chassis.
