I bought new cam bearings to fit a new Stipe cam in a new motor I am building. Having been fooled by bearings being loose in the block and causing a difficult-to-trace knock, I always check them for fit in the block before fitting them to the shaft.
The front bearing fitted in the block well, but will need narrowing to fit the cam. The centre one was sloppy. I measured it against the front one and it was .010" undersized. No wonder it was sloppy. I checked it in the front of the block too and it was still sloppy.
An email to the supplier has resulted in a replacement being sent at no charge and no questions asked. Thank you Snyder's for your excellent back-up service.
