Found it today while going through my boxes of T stuff looking for a spring. It's considerably smaller point-to-point, than the existing steering wheel on my 27 coupe.

It is model T, but earlier than your '27.

Thanks, any idea what years they were used on?

If you tell us the size. I think there were 3 sizes throughout the years.

Aaron, it measures right at 14.5 inches tip to tip, measured over the hump in the center.

Until someone gives you a more exact date I'll say I think the 1909's and maybe later had a brass spider. The cast steel like the one you show replaced it and the pressed steel ones came out in the late teens or early 20's.

The malleable iron spider is 1912-1920. The wheel is wood painted black until 1919, then Fordite. (14.59") O.D. The pressed steel spider with Fordite wheel (16" O.D.) is 1920-1925. The wheel for 1925-1927 is the same but 17" O.D.

Steve - That's what I do! I have a frame and a bare '27 engine block. I call it,...."my speedster"!

(......yeah, a bit of wishful thinking at this point but it justifies going to parts swaps and such.......)
