Toon
Toon, what an undertaking! The description of the trip says that they will travel through the US. but the route shown only goes as far as Mexico. Has the later part not been planned yet? I know there are a lot of people here on the forum who would like to meet up with them.

Dick :I don't know how the trip is , but you can understand that in two years something can change.I have seen a disscription that they go near the border of the US and Canada. We will see.It must be nice if Forum members meet them.
Toon
Toon, a lot can change in over a year. I have bookmarked their website in my browser, so I can follow their progress.
When I lived in NL, our antique car was a 1936 Austin Ten. At the time, I discovered a book called "Seven Years with Samantha." It was written by an Englishman who left England in an Austin Seven (which he named Samantha), drove through Europe and the Middle East, across India, by ship to Australia and then New Zealand. From there to Canada, down through the U.S. and South America and back to England. While he was in Australia, he met and married a local woman who shared the rest of the journey with him.

I hope Dirk and Trudy write a book to chronicle their trip. (If they write it in Dutch, maybe I can translate it for them.... )
