That was wonderful. What a gorgeous car. Red disc wheels and a shiny brass body. If you don't want to watch it all it is well worth your effort to see part 4 just to see a picture of the car in all its glory.

Thank you for finding this Wes.

I have been to Neil's place and seen the car in 2010. It is a good one! If you live on the continent or in Britain you should visit Neil and see all his treasures. Of course the best treasure in the place is Neil himself.

Pictures I shot at Neil Tuckett's place:

Royce, That is one nice car. I really enjoyed following the development on YouTube. Was Neil ever able to run it on a smooth track at speed?

Thanks to Wes Nelson for the links to the YouTube videos, and thanks to Royce Peterson for suggesting that my Son and I stop to visit Neil Tuckett when we were in England a year ago last May.

Neil's home and shop are a couple hours north of London and altho' Craig and I were just going to stop for an hour or so, Neil and his staff spent about 3 hours with us in showing us his entire operation, including the "Golden Rod". Not sure if that's one word or two, but that's what it's called and when Neil rolled it out of the shop and into the sunshine, it was a sight I'll never forget!

Royce had said that it's probably the most Model T Ford stuff we'd ever see in such a small area, and if anything, that was an understatement! It is obvious however that he and the two fellows that work for Neil are especially proud of the Golden Rod, and rightfully so; it is like a big piece of jewelry and much more impressive when you're standing next to the car.

Neil Tuckett is definately "Mr. Model T" in England and I can honestly say that I've never met a more hospitable Model T guy. After a drive with Neil in his favorite brass touring car, he even went so far as to lend us his cell phone so we could call my relatives in Harrogate (3 hours or so further north in Yorkshire) to tell them we'd be arriving much later that what we had all planned. (Course, that WAS Neils fault,...ha,ha),...harold

There was a story in one of the UK car mags about the brass T racer.

I remember seeing all those tons of extra T parts at Chickasha swap meet they had yellow crime seen tape around them that read Tuckett Brothers !
I gotta say if I had the cash I'd be into the early T parts inventory relocation business too.

I had a nice visit with Neil at Chickasha last March. For those that don't realize his situation, he summed it up very nicely for me. He said, "your rust here in the states is much better than our rust in Great Britian".

At the end of the Chickasha swap meet, Neil buys a lot of what's left that obviously, most of us here in the U.S.A. feel is junk, and ships it back to England in one or more intermodal containers.

Personally, I think what Neil does is pretty much a "win-win" arrangement; it's good for the parts sellers at Chicksha as most of them don't really want to haul stuff back home than nobody wants else wants, and the stuff would probably end up at scrapyards anyway, so the parts sellers make a few bucks on "junk" that they really don't know what to do with. The "T" guys in Great Britain certainly gain because as Neil says, "our "rust" is better than their "rust". And Neil gains because "Tuckett Brothers" business gains as well, maybe not so much monetary profit, but I'm sure that this whole project of Neils helps in maintaining his status in Great Britain as the "go-to guy" within the Model T community in his part of the world.
