Drained the oil and found zero evidence of the low-speed band spring being in the pan. Refilled with 10-40 and took it down the road for a cold soda with Carol. Thanks again to everyone for your aid and input:

GREAT Danial!.......
May I suggest while you are letting the pedal out into high you reduce the throttle at the same time......takes the shock out of the shift. Easier on the pinion and everything....... ;)
Thanks Craig, I appreciate that! Still learning this crazy, multi-tasking way of driving. This old beater is getting more fun to drive every time I take her out.
It sounded GREAT Danial! AND it looked like BOTH of you were having a ball. THAT'S what's it about.
Just last evening I took my '27 Tudor out for a LONG ride with my wife and a neighbor.
It was GREAT.....and after that, because the weather finally cooled down, I took the '20 coupe for a drive too!.......
We had a blast Craig and plan on another little excursion tomorrow. You have a mighty fine stable of Ts, I envy you.
My next goal is to get a roadster. I had an opportunity to get a 15 last year but ended up passing on it based on some information about it I received after posting a pic of the car here.
'sall right...I'll be keeping my eyes open for the next opportunity...grin..
