Yesterday evening I got an Magnetotester from a"Coil Friend". This morning I try them on a 1923 and a 1912 both have nearly the same output as you can see on the pictures. I try it when the engine is running on bat. and mag. and there is nearly no difference.

Was the '12 restored with it's original 5/8” thick magnets?
Sometimes more easily found 20's parts are used inside the engine where they can't be seen - few use the pre 1920 heavy rods for example.
Roger : The 1912 is rebuild with a starter, so there is flywheel,magnets and coil ring off the 20's .So the magnets are 3/4" .
