I've been asked, by a fellow in Winnipeg MB, to overhaul his rear axle which has recently suffered sudden loud noises and major slop (babbitt thrust gone bye bye). I've suggested he attempt the job himself using the MTFCA guide but he feels he is not mechanically clever enough to pull it off.
I would like to help, but the distance involved, 850 miles each way, make this an awkward proposition.
Can anyone suggest a competent Model T Mechanic in or near Winnipeg or perhaps not too far away in North Dakota that might be willing to help?
Chris, check with Charlie Tosch (sp?) in Brandon, he may know somebody.
