Does anyone know why there are only two screw holes on the K-W cover and why they don’t line up with the Ford switch? The key mechanism engages with the switch and turns it, but the cover obviously won’t line up.

Any ideas what the K-W switch might be for? I just assumed it was an accessory Ford switch, but I guess I was wrong.

Hi Joseph,
The switch is a Model T Ford accessory switch. There is a thin metal plate that has the 3 holes in it that line up with the original switch, and it has 2 more, that are tapped for the accessory switch. If a person tried to remove the 2 screws in the front switch, they would need the key to turn the switch to be able to remove the accessory switch.
I will take some pictures and have my son Christopher post the pictures for me.

Joseph,

Do you have the KW switch base? The cover may not mount on a standard switch.

I have this one on my '14. It is a K-W also but the switch base itself is not the same.

It has the three holes but will not mount on a standard switch. Where the tumbler engages is not the same.
