Does anyone know who,if anyone, won the Stynoski Award at Rutland?
Peter Ratledge
What car?
Check the MTFCI Forum for photos of Pete's 1911 touring car.
Here is a picture of Pete's car:
It is a late 1911. His car was probably made 3 or 4 days before mine, as his serial number is about 1000 lower. He recently acquired a set of fore-doors that he plans to restore, but not put on the car.
I have a skillion pictures of his car, and Pete and I have visited on the phone many times, but I have not had the pleasure of seeing the car or meeting Pete face to face.

What's amazing about Pete's car, is it's his driver. He has driven this car on many, many tours. There's not a road that he doesn't go down. It always looks like a fresh restoration. Dirt does not have a chance on this car. Pete cleans and polishes after every run.
Well deserved, Pete!
Congrats Pete!! Sweet car!!!
Beautiful, congrats
Is it the correct color? It looks like gloss midnight black.
Yep, sure is, Pete has reams of material research on this T, and everything is correct. Colors are hard to judge in light or photo as this shade of dark blue Ford color changes.
A few years ago on the Hershey show field.
And a couple of years ago on FL Winter tour, this is just to prove how much this T is driven, the somewhat worn tire got a tack in the front tire. Roadside repair by Pete and Mary, he does things the proper way to preserve the T's finish. Note how the wheel is completely off so he can mount from the backside and preserve rim paint.
Pete called to say he was so pleased with winning the award. Had just driven the car 80 miles on the tour prior to rolling on the judging field, after spending afternoon and night in a dark trailer as it was raining out, to clean and polish from top to bottom! There just isn't a Model T existing that gets such pampered loving as Pete & Mary's 1911!
Pete and Mary brought the same T touring to one of our Natl tours years ago in Fulton Mo
Pete's car is a beautiful 1911 Touring that truly deserves the Stynoski Award. He drove the car on the first day of the Rutland tour and the crankshaft broke during the drive!! The MTFCI Judging team did a great job, and Pete and Mary were very happy with the award. Pete plans to have the engine repaired for Hershey, so look for the car at the Hershey car show.
