Hello,
Just one pics, taken this afternoon at "St Vincent" (France) at the "Festival des vieilles mécaniques " The Fardier de Cugnot 1769, next to my 1924 Ford Model T.
Olivier
That's a cool vehicle. I have seen pics of it but didn't know there was one on the road. How do you smog it? Oh I forgot, it's not California.
P S That 24 T looks like it is just out of the show room. Nice.
Olivier
What a wonderful looking machine. But it is not pretty!
Is it a replica? Where is the original?

The original is in a museum in France. It was stored in an armory for years until it's historical value was realised.
How wonderful they have done that. Must truly be a sight to see in person.
Thanks for the photo.

What body is that on the T? Special french body? It looks like a cross between an A & the improved T.
This " fardier de Cugnot " is a replica that works very well. The real fardier de Cugnot in 1769.
This replica of the " fardier de Cugnot " is presented, sometimes in concentrations.
Yesterday, "St Vincent" in France and not in California, we made a tour of the demonstration side by side to provide the public the two vehicles, the model T and the Fardier. It was great moment for me and my 24 Ford.
The fardier de Cugnot is the first vehicle in history because it is the first vehicle to be transported the man without the use of force an animal. It was created in 1769 by the French military engineer born in NJ Cugnot was born in “Meuse” north of france in February 26, 1725. The purpose of this military vehicle was to carry guns. Unfortunately he has always remained at the prototype stage and was never used.
There are many stories around the fardier de Cugnot including those of a hypothetical accident. There are also plenty of doubts about the functioning of the flatbed truck as it remains little evidence of testing. In addition, documents NJ Cugnot and his work are few.
The project was to achieve a functional replica of the Fardier de Cugnot to the original scale. Its main purpose is to rehabilitate NJ Cugnot by proving that the vehicle has actually worked.

Kep NZ, This 1924 Ford Model T, was encased in France with "A Rousset" in Lyon.

Now we know that the proper oil to use in a Model T is Veedol.
Olivier,
That is a most beautiful model T Ford! And such a wonderful scene for a photograph.
Again, thank you for sharing this.
