I believe the first photo is a six cylinder Nash.

The second photo does not have enough detail.

The second car looks sort of like a 27 Buick 4 door though.

Chris,

If you have access to the photographs if possible can you scan them at a 300 x 300 and if needed 600 x 600 DPI? They will be way too big to post on the forum but you can crop some of the areas that would make the ID a lot easier and post that on the forum. For example the rear wheel shown below is zoomed in on your current 63KB JPEG posting.

If the camera was held still, there is an excellent chance we/you could read the name on the hubcap. In my own case, I can zoom in on a 3 1/2 by 4 inch wallet shot of my folks in their 1918 Model T back in the 1950s and easily read the Ford on the radiator, the state, year, and number on the license tag etc. It is amazing the level of detail that an original analog photo captures. Of course sometimes the original photo is a little dark or blurry where we want to see and in that case it doesn’t help. You often times will not know until you do the high resolution scan and look.

For photos or illustrations that are printed in a book or magazine that usually does not work as well. They are digitized prior to printing and you will see larger and larger dots rather than additional details when you zoom in.

Respectfully submitted,

Hap l9l5 cut off
