MotorCities National Heritage Area
Good Afternoon,
MotorCities National Heritage Area is proud to once again partner with the world renown Concours d'Elegance of America at St. John's. One of the events of this weekend is a Concours preview party in downtown Northville on Saturday, July 28. Unfortunately there was a scheduling issue and a number of the registered vehicles have to withdraw. The Northville Downtown Development Authority needs your help. They are looking for classic vehicles (preferably prewar) who would like to take part in the event from 3 PM - 8 PM. Each participants will be invited to the VIP reception from 5 PM- 7 PM and will receive 2 complimentary tickets to the Concours d'Elegance on Sunday, July 29.
For questions and registration, please immediately contact Lori Ward, Northville DDA, 248-349-0345. loriwarddda@comcast.net.
Please help to make this event one of the highlights of an already exciting weekend of Concours activities.
Sincerely,
Nancy Darga

Not a spam at all. This is a new, pre-event for the Concours d'elegance at St. Johns (Formerly the Meadowbrook Concours d'elegance). It is open to all types of vehicles, not just those being shown at the Concours on Sunday. This should be a nice event. You'll get free food and drink and two tickets for the Sunday show (a 40.00 value!) Here is the website which lists all the activities for the week.

I got the same email.
I have no idea why they would send it to people outside the Detroit area...
I got the same message in Bellevue, WA. Not sure how they got my email address but I get about a message a month related to things in the Detroit area.
I'd go, but they waited too long to notify me. It would take more than 2-1/2 days to get there in the TT.
BTW Mack, I got the same email. Wonder which overalls I should wear to the reception?
Hal, it's a VIP Reception. You should probably wear the clean ones....
A local business owner told me of the time he attended a convention in Chicago with his late father, who always wore overalls. Somebody told him, "Lyle, the dinner tonight is supposed to be formal dress." Lyle replied, "In Kansas, this IS formal dress."
Steve, when I was living in Arkansas in my Air Force days, I was told that formal dress was wearing a white shirt with your bib overalls.
Steve, I got one too! If you go you will have to wear your clean boots!!!!
I got the same email in St. Louis area.
Herb
Just checked my email and I got one too. I have been receiving emails from them every week or two for a couple years. They almost never have anything of interest to me. Usually a lot of muscle car stuff.
Think I could make it if I left in the boat-tail right now? It is a little faster than the coupe.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
Same message for me, a bit far this week to drive though !!!!
It may be that since I get Sema stuff that they shared my email addy?
I tried to order some new overalls from Pointer a few years ago, still aint come in to the store!
Last American company makeing them at the time from what I remember.
I got that invite. Glad you all let me know it's formal. I'm gonna hook up the side buttons on my overalls, put on some socks, and even tie my brogans if I can find some shoestrings. Lucky I just changed the lard in the T Model, I can use some'a that to black my brogans. Second thought, that's all a lot of trouble. Maybe I'll just skip the whole thing.
Here you go, Mack. Made in USA. I drive down to Okieland to buy mine.
Robert H,
If'n you change your mind, plan to wear a shirt under your bibs! Might save some of that lard to do up your hair all pretty like too!
Honestly, I didn't know you could drive a T in anything but bib overhauls.
I would if I could! The wife makes me get all fixed up when we go to a show. I keep tellin her "Honey, coveralls IS period correct"!!!!
That's the beauty of a Model T. You don't have to dress hoity-toity to drive one...
Well, shoot. Now I know I ain't going if I gotta wear a shirt AND slick my hair back.
Dick, I agree 100%, just gotta convince the wife that a pair of old coveralls will do! I let you try to convince her!! Ha Ha Ha!
PS--- Thanks for the complement on my T, she's my baby!!!
