You need to remember JNO Brown supplied lamps to other car makers. Those two lamps are quite similar. Sorry no way to identify it except to say it is not for a Ford.

Hey Steve thought of that but the slots for the forks are different. Give me a call some time. Thanks for the suggestion. In your looking around if you find a lamp like the non-Ford let me know. Thanks John

I have no experience with brass era parts, but I would guess that headlight might be an aftermarket replacement. Just a thought. Dave

David I suspect you may be correct I even thought that it could be an early 50's 60's reproduction attempt where the company did not want to pay the royalties for the Ford insignia, thanks for your opinion.

They usually didn't charge for royalties back in the '50s. I knew a fellow that had a nice side business making brass radiators back in the '60s and '70s. I'll think of his name later. He sold them all over the country. We had a number of discussions back in the '70s about the fact he was not asked to pay royalties. I knew of several other items that were the same way. At some point, Ford decided to go after them, and at first wouldn't even accept royalties. For awhile in the mid '70s, some were made without the Ford name on them.
Just a little hobby history for you.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
