And don't tell me its MBRT either. And any idea how to liquify it/remove it?
His website says specially formulated polyurethane. If that's the case, it's not going anywhere without damaging the windings
So unrepairable by standard means is what I'm hearing?
I have some industrial stripper that will dissolve or soften most polyurethanes, epoxies and even strip the anodizing off aluminum. It's nasty stuff. If you send me a chip of it, I'll test it. The problem is that it will also dissolve the enamel off the wire windings. So it would seem the only re-usable part would be iron core wires. I think you have a "rebuild once and throw away coil". That's sad unless it has a lifetime warranty.
We shall see.
Have you tried contacting Mr Bittner about it? What does he have to say?
it's a wonder that Hugh Jass hasn't mentioned his famous Bituminous Roofing Tar as the product.
Yes, Bittner has been contacted.
This is what Jim Gordan and I are using on our rebuilt coils
My last post should have said Jim Golden, not Gordan. We have 100 lbs of the hot tar.

Bittner coils sound like an Uh Oh.
I received a true-fire direct from Ed Bittner last december. After installing it made the sound of a howling cat but no spark. Definetely the box is not working because another one from a friend of mine worked OK with my conected timer. Tried to reach Mr. Bittner but never got a response. Including import duties I am stuck with a non-working true-fire that cost me 500 dollars. Kees in Holland.
