I have been told that there are some steering wheels out there that some use in Speedsters. Others with a big belly like mine use them in other stuff. I am told they measure 12 1/2" o.d. Does anyone have one that they would be willing to part with, or know of anyone?
Many thanks,
Mark

I'll be getting in touch with you Bob. My biggest problem is that I want to install it on a TT and either brass or chrome I think would be too fancy. I can also be reached at mmwethy@yahoo no spam .com just remove the no spam.
Thanks a million for the reply,
Mark

Use "Trim Paint" and paint it black. TP comes in spray cans and should be available at most auto supply stores. It's also available at automotive paint suppliers. Follow the directions on the can for best adhesion.

Black followed by a generous coating of clear urethane (I used HomeDepot house brand Minwax Helmsman gloss). After about a week, hit it with wet 1500 paper and Mcguire's "Ultimate compound" to desired level of gloss. Remember to tape all edges.
