Hi.... I know I have seen this brass bracket for sale from one of the vendors but for the life of me I can't find it ...anyone know who sells it ? thanks...Dan
Mike Walker on this forum made a few half a year ago - maybe that's where you remember them from? http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/179374/245420.html?1320361811
I also have some Mike made dnuser88@ktis.net
make that danuser88@ktis.net, the above is wrong
That's it Roger ! thanks... I am pretty sure that one of the vendors was selling them.... maybe Chaffin's? I'll look there ...... Now my other question is , will it actually support the above pictured Stewart V-ray light ? Mine is pretty heavy compared to a mirror . Perhaps I will make one a bit stronger in the mount area. I do like the idea of using a separate mount, rather than messing up my windshield frame.
John I sent you an email....Dan
Dan -- I don't know of any vendors selling them, except John D. who bought a few from me. I needed some for my cars and couldn't find any repro's, so I made up a run of them. I still have a few, if you're interested. Email me at waterwalk99@hotmail.com.
I bought one from Mike (without paint) to match my car. I have the same Stewart light and everything works great. I did have to add the leather string to keep the light from vibrating down.
Mike how many do you have left? danuser88@ktis.net
Inevitably, almost every Stewart V-Ray spotlight that I have seen mounted on a car is missing the two pieces that fit between the clamping arms and the windshield, or in this case the bracket. Using these pieces makes it easier to mount and does not damage the windshield frame.
I had to end up buying three different V-Ray lights in order to get enough parts to make one good, functional light. I was fortunate that one of the lights still had one of these pieces with it, so I was able to make copies.
