What is the gap and dwell ? thanks
Depends on what type of dist. Check this out, spark plug and points gap listed in instuctions. I did not see anything on dwell. I know that dwell on ford cars from the 60s was 24 w/dwell meter. but that was for 6/8cyl cars.

Varies by engine but generally a bit over 45 degrees for a 4 cylinder.
Assuming you have a modren Bosch disturbutor, Lee, the gap has usually been 0.016", which gives you a dwell of about 45 degrees. On a slow turning T engine you can drop that dwell to less than half (wider gap) and reduce wasted current.

With the Bosch 009 distributor, 45 degrees is about right but as Ralph points out. You're never going to turn 5500 to 6K with the T engine as my son does with his VW. So a wider gap is just fine.
Thanks everyone I checked the dwell and its 48 so I left it alone but I did find out why it was
running rough. The head light wire had fallen down and toughing the #4 spark plug nut and was sparking Thanks againLee
