The owner of this car made contact with me and asked that I go look at it. So a couple of us made the trip today. The car was the young man's great grandfather's car and it has been in the barn since the early 50s. He did not know what it was but had been told it was a 13. Best we could tell it is. I am not brass car expert but we noted the following:

- Serial number is from 1913. Sorry I failed to write it down.
- Front axle has been changed and has clipped leaves and a radius rod mounted UNDER the axle.
- Brass headlights but I could not tell if they had ever been painted.
- Radiator has the data embossed on upper tank as opposed to a tag.
- Rear axle looks correct to me and has tapered springs.
- No bill on fenders.

As to the condition. Well you can see from the pictures it is rough. However, the engine turns over and has compression. It has the remains of four plugs left in it and I guess that took care of it. We were really surprised it turned over. It has two headlights but is missing a cowl light (right side). The original gas canister on the running board was replaced with a bottle type. We found two bottles near the car. It began life as a roadster and was converted to a pickup. No sign of the original turtle deck. Body is obviously rough but I did not see any rot in the skin. I did not try to open the door...didn't want to break anything. Coil box and lid are there but no coils. The instructions for the coils (KW) remain in the lid of the coil box.

The owner and his mother do not intend to restore the car and would like to see about selling it. They would like it to go to a good home..meaning someone who won't part it out and will put it back and drive it.

If interested contact me off the forum and I can discuss with you. The family has asked that I not disclose the location of the car to the general public. So please don't contact me offline unless you have a real interest in buying it.
