Before I put new bands in the transmission I would like to start at the beginning. Can someone tell me the initial adjustment on the clutch. Whats happening is when I go to take off it does not pull real good right away (forward or reverse). reverse almost feels like its fighting forward and reverse, it moves but it starts buckin real hard. I was hoping to make through the summer and then tear it down but we will see. Had both cars out for another car show saturday and took first place on the T so Im having alot of fun...Thanks a bunch

It looked great sitting out there, Jim. WTG on the trophy! I have to admit though, I was more in love with your big block, 4-speed Chevelle...grin....

First time I've seen a TT C Cab fitted to a Model T chassis. It looks . . . . well . . . . different. For initial clutch adjustment, see pg. 246-247 paragraph 1061 of the book Model T Ford Service

Reverse is a band adjustment and technique issue, not the clutch.

The clutch is only engaged when you are in high gear. Any other time it is disengaged.

In your case the link from the low pedal to the clutch arm is likely too short. You can lengthen it and fix the problem in most cases.
