most of the time i use grease....

just about anything but white lithium grease is better thsn what they used back in the day.

the one i use as general purpose is called Moly-Graph, i believe its made by stalube. its pretty thick which helps and graphite is an exellent lubricant.

I use regular wheel bearing grease. I don't see a need for anything exotic, it is just a Model T. Of course, somebody will probably have a reason why their choice is infinitely superior.

I like cup grease, but it is hard to find, so I use a medium weight grease.

Don't use any grease containing Moly Bdnium or graphite in the universal joint. Moly and graphite are conductors and could foul up the magneto. They can be used elsewhere if you choose to.

I use Hydrotex Para-syn grease. It is a very sticky synthetic grease that will last longer than any other grease I have used. I use if because on the T because that is what I use on all my farm equipment. It will last longer than the normal service interval, where standard greases with not last as long as the normal interval. I figure that it is much better to have a lubricant that will be there when you need it. I costs about three times what regular grease costs, but I think it has been cost effective because of fewer break downs.
Best
Gus

Fill those grease cups with Red wheel bearing grease. Good all purpose, besides the red color looks good on the fingers, and this grease smells good too.

Valvoline is good brand, and note the different countries autos recommended for, suits the T as it's the 'Universal Car' :-)

Walt, Matthew types faster because he uses better grease on his fingers.... :-)

Just about any good wheel bearing grease should do just fine.

The only thing I can add is that it is a good idea to use the same type and brand of grease all the time. I hear that you shouldn't mix greases of different soap types. I don't know what will happen if you do, but that's what I've heard.

What type of Hand Cleaner do you use with the better greases?

mix the gojo orange hand cleaner with some palmolive dish soap and it really blasts away the crap.

now if youve got a date that night try using olive oil and a stiff brush. sounds weird but it works and leaves your hands smooth.
