This is probably a question for Snyder's, but was hoping to get the carb re-built today ... And the carb destruction book I ordered hasn't come in yet.
I ordered bits and pieces for my NH carb The 2 most important being the spray needle valve (appears proper) .. and the float needle & seat.
Carburer tag says it's a Holly NH. The part number I got (T-6210/12) matches the invoice, and the descripton says HN Float value & seat. (maybe that's the problem ... I should have ordered a float VALVE! LOL) ... The inner package (apparently a re-packaged item) is labeled 31-138 on one line, and 11D1 on a second line.
Problem is, it is physically smaller in diameter than what was in there, and would indeed leave a bit of a gap between it's outer wall, and the carburetor body hole it should go in. The threads appear to match. The seat opening is smaller than the old one also. It has a black rubber-ish coating on the tip of the needle.
Was my old one wrong ...the new one wrong, or go ahead and give it a try??
Thanks,
Dennis
Sounds OK to me. The float valve should not touch the outer wall. It seals with the small gasket against the top of the hole.
You have the Viton tipped needle / seat. They work fine.
Hey ... very good! Onward I go, then ....
Thanks!
Dennis
