The mainshaft I pulled out of the Fronty has .012" total runout, and I can't find my spare, if I have one. The Tulsa stuff on alignments says about half are bad. The machinist I'm using says it would cost more to fix mine than cost for a new one.
I'm inclined not to buy new if there are serviceable used ones. Are these in short supply?

Ricks-
If you know anyone coming this way I have a bunch of main shafts and would give you a couple.
Will you ship them for a price, Dave?
not in short supply. Yours sounds like most I see. Chuck it up in a lathe and true the flange surface. Not hard to do takes less then 15 min. That is if you have good bearing surfaces. All of them are needing the flange cleaned up.

Thanks, Mike.
I got the idea from phone call with the machinist that the shaft is bent. I think he checked it on a centerless grinder?
