Does anyone have wiring directions for the old HICKEY Sidewinder winches? I picked up one that has had very little use and plan to put it on the front of one of my trailers for car loading. Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim

The patent for the Hickey winch does not show the solenoid pack,
but it is likely similar to the Warn or Ramsey winches.

Here is a YouTube with some pages showing the Hickey End and Side post wiring diagrams.

Screen captures - Not the greatest copies, but may be of some help.

It looks like it uses 2 non grounded solenoids, so should be similar to the
Ramsey 12000 lb. 12 volt that I use on my tow truck.
Here is the Ramsey diagram

Art

Hmmm - my preview is acting up, but hopefully all of the jpg's will display.
