pretty sure thats a die casting mold. might be able to cast using gravity if you heat the mold enough.

although i wonder how much it would cost to contract out the die casting?

are these being reproduced by anyone?

you can buy this and make your own locks. Far as I know I nobody sells them separate, you have to buy the whole assembly.

Lang's sells the tumbler separate: http://www.modeltford.com/item/5012T.aspx

I don't know about the current quality of repros - I had to do a lot of filing & fitting on a couple of older repro tumblers I used when rebuilding my switches.

If this is the mold that made the tumblers that I bought from one of our regular parts vendors a few years back, I might buy it just so I can smash it with a sledge hammer. Those tumblers were junk!

Without the dimensional drawings and equipment what good would they be anyway. The ad kinda give the years and place where it was used.

Made some inquries last night. This mold came from the guy who made all the ignition switches years ago
out of Rocheter,NY. He manufactured them from 1977-2002. These were the better built switches not the overseas ones they also was doing at the same time. He made his out of phenolic material for the backings not the plastic backs.
