Contemplating garage door or enclosed trailer hight and thought I'd pose the question... how tall is your T?
Perhaps we can form a reasonable consensus about how high a Model T is by year and body style? Even a rough guide might be useful for the inexperienced.
I'll guess and say a 1912 delivery might be highest of the factory roof lines?
Mine isn't here so I'll have to measure it later but I think I can squeeze under the sign at the shopping center at 2.05 metres.
Cheers
Wow pictures from the future!! That is 2 years away from my scheduled retirement! What are the lotto numbers for the next big lotto?
These are from down under, they are way of ahead of us time wise down there, being below the equator and all that. I wonder what his fuel cost is for 2035?
Oh and more OT, Our TT is just under 7' tall using the old measuring system, or 2.13 meters as I convert.
My TT C Cab is about 1/2" under 7".
My '27 Fordor is about 6'6".

Anthony,
Several folks have provided measurements during the past. But the illustration of the size garage needed for a T from the Feb 15, 1920 Ford Service Bulletin gives a representative view for the touring (I would think it would be similar for the 1915-1922 tourings). For any individual car, the tire size, springs, weight, how the top is configured [one tall person used extra long bows so he had more head room) etc. can change it a little bit. And of course putting the modern day doughnut spare tires on the T lowers it quite a bit.
The service bulletins are available printed and electronically from the vendors. Also they are in the MTFCI Digital Library DVD.
Respectfully submitted,

Nobody has commented on that saw. I've seen quite a few of them, but not many with a flywheel.
My Hack is 7'2"
Steve, there is one up here that is a little smaller with a flywheel. I tried to buy it, but he wont part with it. Another friend that owns a wooden boat restoration shop has one with a sliding table rip saw, band saw, and open faced planer/joiner all in one big unit. I think it came out of a old boat builders shop. All it needs is a T engine and a belt!
My Ts don't do drugs.......
Couldn't resist, grew up (or attempted to) in the seventies.
Rob, Have you seen the trailer for the new movie, "Lawless". In it, two boys driving a TT loaded with Moonshine, run out of gas. One opens up a Mason jar of it and pours it into the tank. The TT starts, and off they go. Pretty good way to get "high".
My 1926 Coupe is 6'-0 1/2" (72 1/2")
My 1926 Fordor with the original roof, has a 1 1/2" crown in the center of the roof, so, at the edge, the car is 6'-3 1/2" (75 1/2") and at the center, it is 6'-5" (77"). Jim Patrick
Don't forget if you are contemplating a trailer to allow for the angle of accent/decent into and out of the trailer. The ramps or door will alter the clearance. Also don't just go by the door height on a garage or trailer you need to allow for the door springs and frame work.
