I took the time this morning to measure the distance between hub centers on my T. One side measures 1/2 inch longer that the other. Is this a real problem or does it need correcting? Is this done by adjusting the radius rods at the universal connection?

I have read everything I have and find nothing to go by.

Are you writing about measuring between front and rear centers? How do you determine whether the front wheels are pointing exactly ahead? If the wheels are turned slightly to one side or the other it would change the measurement. Have you tried measuring from the rear hub center to some place on the frame, such as the center bolt of the rear engine mount? That would give you a more accurate measurement of whether the rear axle is straight or not. You should also note that if the front or rear spring is not centered in the frame, it could also affect that measurement. It could also be influenced by whether the ball joint of the universal joint is centered between the frame rails. Also the frame itself could be bent. Best test is how does the car run along a flat surface? Does it pull straight or tend to go to one side? If someone follows you do the rear wheels track with the front wheels?

Norman, Thanks for suggestions. I will take additional measurements to check. I have only had it on the open road once and felt no pull either direction.

I am still learning about T's. Slowly but I hope surely.

Thanks again.
