My father has a 1918 Pillar less coupe, called the Coupelet. It has been completely restored to original condition. It has won the National award. It has not been driven on the road.
Does anyone know what this car is worth?
I know it is a very rare model. Any idea how many there might be?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
I'll trade my '20 Coupe and '25 Fordor for it!......
I don't know what the highest price one might get for a black era Model T would be but a car like your father's 1918 would be near the top. I think you would need to have it professionally appraised, then take it to one of the top tier auction houses like RM or Barrett Jackson to try to reach the potential buyer who could pay enough for the car to maybe equal the restoration expense.
The average T collector like me would probably pay something on the order of $20K for an AACA Senior First place car like that. It might sell for a bit more or less on eBay.
Just a restorable body for an 18 sold for $6,000 about 5 years ago. It had original paint and upholstery, nice original condition overall.
