Hey guys,

So awhile back Iwent to my grandfather's place to get some parts for my T project. I asked him Hey Poppy, do you have any Champion X spark plugs I could use?" He looked over at me with his eyebrows raised then, they lowered into a frown and he put his finger to his lips in a "shh" motion. He walked over to the top shelf and pulled down a boxed. When he opened the lid I gasped. Inside were about 20 or more of what appears to be original Champion X spark plugs. He gave me six and put the box back up pn the shelf again. Guess he's being secretive/protective of his stash again :-)
I love the man dearly, and i'm glad he got me into the hobby

Hey, Matthew, we're pretty good friends. Aren't we? How about you send me 4 of those plugs and then ask your Grandpa for 2 more for you. Or don't ask. You know where his stash is. Pal. Friend. Old Chum.

Ok, ok, I'm not trying you to do nothing against your Grandpa. I wouldn't do it against mine either. But we can still be friends. Ok?

I'm with Mike! No need letting those poor defenseless plugs hang out in a box for years on end, never knowing if Model T's still even exist much less if they'll ever get to spark again. The kind thing, the right thing, would be to free those plugs. Let them out into the wild to live full, happy lives. =)

I'm with Mike and Seth on this one

It is inhumane to keep those plugs boxed up.

Let them free otherwise the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to X Plugs (SPC-X) will be knocking on your door! :-)

Hahaha, that's a good one guys. Sorry it took me so long to respond: I was out backpacking for a few days in the ADK mountains. Funny enough, yet sad to think about too, my grandfather told me that when he's dead and gone the whole garage of T parts is mine. There's enough parts in there to build nearly two or three more complete T's. Unfortunately it looks like his 23' Roadster and his all factory original Fordson tractor might be sold some day. I'd like to see those stay in the family, so i'm gonna start a rainy day fund for them. I'm hoping that day is way off though. I'd much rather have pops around and kicking for years to come.

Matthew,
What a wonderful grandpa! I'd like to send him a 'Thank You' card on your behalf, of course. Please send me his street address in a private email message. DO NOT, under any circumstances, put his street address on this Forum for all to see, I mean, don't fog up this wonderful thread with his private info....All seriousness aside, you're a blessed man - I never knew my grandpas.
