I didn't want to hijack the other u-joint thread. I found this while sorting through a recent large parts purchase. It may have a couple miles left on it.
I talked u-joints with a fast Frontenac equipped guy here in Sweden - his u-joint didn't hold up for fast driving, he said. He suspects the grease got slinged off the joint when driving 60 mph for some distance, resulting in his u-joint got hot and seized! All blue when he pulled it out. He's got a tooling company, so a new scratch built u-joint with needle bearings featuring hardened inner and outer races was his solution.
Anybody else experiencing u-joint high speed lubrication problems?
I had a needle bearing Ujoint let go, but it was running on non-hardened inner races.

It would be nice to hear what the Montana 500 drivers have to say about this since they drive at sustained high speeds.
Thanks, Keith
I don't see a Ford script. Maybe it is aftermarket?
