Saw this on Craigslist.
Wish I was closer I'd be buying it!
No relation to the sale.

The price is definitely right. We've seen these go for 1000 dollars without the base.
Shows the economy is tanked.
The engine stand is sold.
Hope that means you bought it Mike.
Didja' see the smiley face?
I'll pick it up tomorrow.
We have a K R Wilson press at work that we use once a week at least......I rebuilt it two year ago.....Still has the gauge that show pressure.....I've seen the "Old Guy" that used to work there PEG the gauge pressing a 3" mixer shaft out.........Hey,,, now I'm the Old Guy.....
Well, I'm back home with the engine stand in the back of my pickup. We had to disassemble it to load it, and the pieces were still heavy. I left at 7:00 this morning and got home a little after 8:00 this evening. Long day.
Most of the paint on it is a fire engine red. Is this the color they were originally?
were they not green originally?
Mike,
That's great.
Glad I saw it.
I think there was a thread on here about the color of K R Wilson tools and that they were red.
???
Next time we 're in Ark. (daughter & son in law are in Little Rock) I try and stop in and say Hi.
Larry
Larry -- I'm glad you saw it too. Thanks for posting the link here. It had been on Craig's list for over a week and no one was interested until your post, then he had several calls. Please stop by any time you're in the area.
While we're waiting for a definitive answer to that question, I have another. This piece came with an engine plate for a later type of engine. Does someone here have whatever plate they came with which holds a Model T engine? If so, will you please post a picture of it?
If I can't come up with one, I can probably make something that will work, but I'd like to know what the original one looks like. Thanks.
Mike
This older posts shows pics of K R Wilson pan jigs in red color, probably red is correct for the engine stand you got....nice going!

Mike, I started the previous thread on the correct color for the K R Wilson stands. A friend here inherited one from his dad and asked me what the correct color should be. I said I didn't know but that I knew where to ask. The majority opinion here on the forum, as I recall, was indeed red. If you don't find the thread, I'll look for it later today and post a link to it.
Dark green with KRW decals.
Ron the Coilman
I take it back. My thread was not about a K R Wilson engine stand, it was about a K R Wilson pan straightening jig. Red was the preferred result in that thread.

I had 3 of them and all I found was red chips, so I painted all of them red. I will try to post a picture of one of them but I am one a strange computer so may not be able to do it.
Mike check out this site if you haven't already.

Here's a link discussing colors.

Ron, where is your info from?
Searching images 2 common Model T tools are indeed dark green
Thanks for the link, Chris -- Lots of good info there.
The KRW website Chris posted above shows several pics of KRW equipment, and all of the engine stands there are red. There are also some pics of the piece I'm missing, holding Model A engines. That part has another set of holes above the water inlet, presumably for Model T engines.
Ron Patterson said he saw an original KRW engine stand in its original box, with accessories, and they all were a dark green. So apparently they were available (or made to order) in colors other than red. One Model T friend told me that KRW equipment was used by Packard dealers as well as Ford, and other car companies probably used it too.
Anyway, all the paint on mine is red, including underneath and the areas where it was bolted together, so red it will be.
Thanks for your input, everybody.
Mike: There is someone in Northwest that makes the engine adt for the Model T/A. Can not think of his name. I think I got from an old post. Someone else here may have it. He is an A model guy I think. Dan
Dan -- I had heard that someone is reproducing that part. Now I need to find out who it is and hope I can afford one. I can make a piece which will work, but it would be nicer to have an original or an accurate repro.
The person you are talking about is Model A Tom at The Model A Ford Works, Portland Oregon. Phone 503-284 1928. When I knew him several years ago he was heavily into quality reproductions of K R Wilson tools. Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Jonathan Bodine
The first photo appears to be an unrestored KR Wilson engine stand (mounted on an incorrect base dolly). The other photo is of one that has been restored in KW Red (with the correct wheeled base). For more photos of restored KRW tools in use, see: www.krwilsontools.com/pages/toolsinuse.html. Click onto the photos for a closer look. Jim Patrick
Mike: Model A Tom is who I got mine from. The one I got is so good you can not tell it from a real one. Not cheap, but good and works fine. Dan
Ok guys, saw this one on Craig's.
Looks like lots of stuff.

Guys -- I tried the number given above for Model A Ford Works and got a recording saying the number has been disconnected. I called it twice, same result. I googled the place and all the listings give that same number. Does anyone have a different number for Tom or know his last name?
Model A Tom (my complimentary nick name for him) was a friend of mine when I lived in Portland, Oregon. His shop, The Model A Ford Works, was at that time on Interstate Avenue; it has since moved. Every year he had a presence at the Portland Swap Meet. I believe he also sold to some of the well known Model A and Model T parts houses. His products were of the highest quality. His name is Tom Godish. I do not know if he is still in the business nor have I had contact with him for several years. I hope this helps.
Best regards,

Thanks for the name, Jonathan. Dan Hatch also supplied it by email. I learned from a relative that Tom has moved to St. Helens, and I got some phone numbers for him (left a voice mail).
Thanks for your help, everyone.
