why would you want a fuel pump on a 26? Is it a fourdoor?

Terry Since the tank is most likely up under the cowl Mr. gravity will supply all the fuel you need and you just don't need a fuel pump unless the tank is under the seat.

Bendix makes excellent six volt fuel pumps but they ground the wrong way and you may have to insulate it. I know we put one on our 1924 Studebaker Touring and we had to mount it on a wooden plank in order to insulate it and get it to run properly. I just don't remember at this time which way they arrive in the box, but it is an easy fix.

It puts out too much pressure so we had to install a pressure regulator to drop it down to one and half pounds of pressure. The old carburetors just can't handle pressure because they were made for gravity pressure and not actual fuel pump pressure. So it will cost you about $100 to install a proper and safe fuel pump with a regulator.

I hope this information helps. Frank a.k.a. Fast Frank

Why would any body want to put a fuel pump on any Model T? They would be more trouble than a water pump.

you know i thought i was going to have to put some sort of pump in mine, then i redid the fuel line.

kept it as far away from the exhaust pipe as possible and didnt put a fuel filter in line.

now with less than half a tank i can climb any hill around here, and thats pretty good.

Cowl tanks are not reproduced. You will need to find a good used one.
