It took me a few months to get the old owner to part with this 1926 Geelong (Australian) tourer, in the one family from new and the last care taker since 1955, fitted with a Rajo Head and a Ruckstell.
Question would be in regards to the diff,
do they have babbitt thrusts or any thing I should be replacing before future problems?
What a Nice Looking Touring (Geelong)I love the color combination.
I'll be no good for your question, BUT I'll be checking back for the answer so I can learn too.
Yes the Ruckstell has one babbitt thrust washer (if it has never been changed) that may cause problems. The other side on a Ruckstell is a ball bearing.
Jim
Kerry, the ball bearing Jim mentions is a thrust bearing, so there is a need for only one babbit thrust.
Allan from down under.
See if you can't find a splash apron!
Yes it dose look like no splash apron but it is on, just shinny paint reflection.
