After our monthly meeting this morning several of us went to a members home and did "Safety Inspections" on each others vehicle. In essence, we all wanted another set of eyes on our own cars because we are all subject to "tunnel vision".
It is amazing what we found! Generally speaking the cotter keys (pins for the other half of the readers) were mostly all there but we found regular nuts instead of castle nuts (cotter keys were there though) and most notably, a brake rod bent in a "C". Right rear brake was inoperable with the E-brake lever upside down!
We all left happier than we came and comfortable that our cars (one exception) were in pretty good shape. It isn't a bad idea for every T owner to get another T owner to give his or her T a "once over".
Sorry that I missed the event - had a previous commitment ------ hard to pass up the front seat and stick time in this Baby ! Warbirds Fly-In & Display at Paine Field, WA.
Steve, how's Richard Bach? Was it there he caught some power lines? Saw just a blurb on CBS (this) Sunday Morning.
Ricks
It was at Friday Harbor up on the Islands where he lives.
Steve
The leader of the War Birds Came over to the Bremerton fly in air show in the afternoon to pick up three Black Berry pies, had a short conversation with him.
Bob
Oh. My nephew was the main medic on Friday Harbor until he retired earlier this year, and now drives a Duck in Seattle. Hope they replaced him in FH.
Send some blackberry pies this way, Bob. When my job travels took me to the PNW back when, I made sure to make at least one trip in blackberry season. People there thought I was really nuts to bring some cuttings home. They lasted a year or two, but didn't really make a go. They don't do well on neglect here...

What's the Navy plane next to the Skyraider? Can't quite make it out.
The one next to the Skyraider looks like a Grumman Tigercat. (that's a definate maybe)
The Tiger Cat with the nose art of "Bad Kitty" was friggin' incredible to watch as she made several low, screaming passes !
Ralph, it seems just a few miles make difference. Blackberry vines in Lomita threatened to take over the world until I took them on with a rotary mower. That set them back a bit.
Steve. We understand and sorry we missed you. Hard to get all of our "bad habits" done in one day! Your expert eyes were missed. Looking forward to seeing you and Duracell at the CANAM.
