I've got an excess of mag rings, generators and a few starter cores. Is there anyone interested in being the new owner/s of these? I'm just thinking there might be a better use for them than sitting on a cart in my garage.
PM sent
Hey I need some of those! PM sent too!
Ditto
Kenny the coil rings need to go to Chicago to Total Recoil Wally Szumowski 773-586-4485, so he can keep rebuilding them, gen's and starters need to go to Coilman OR somebody who rebuilds them
I could certainly use a set as my engine does not have any coils in it and my gen is burnt.
Kenny Edmondson:
Rather than go to all the work of sending out items one by one contact two people. I sent 15 train coils to Ron Patterson and 10 transmission coils to RV Anderson. That saved me a lot of time boxing up all my surplus coils.
I could use 1 starter and generator. What is the cost of 1 of each with shipping?
If I was closer I'd work a deal for the whole lot, so I'm gonna have to be a spectator.
Dave, that was my intent but I've gotten a lot of emails for individual starter and generator core needs.
For everyone that responded wanting starter and gen cores, I'm going to check on the cost of shipping these things and will then post the average cost range here.
The other issue is finding enough heavy boxes to ship them in, can they be shipped in the same carton and once shipped are they going to be good cores for all to use?
I'll respond back later this week.
Thanks Kenny!
generators can go $11 falt rate in the mail
oops flat rate
Is the flat rate cheaper than the falt rate?
Hey guys:
These are cores. Why ship out each one to each of you half way across the country only then to have you ship it back to Lang as a core who then ships it Ron Patterson who ships it back to Lang who ships it back to you. Why not work a deal that allows a nearby rebuilder to get the cores directly who then rebuilds them and ships them to the person needing one. The cost of fuel and that pesky "fuel surcharge" that UPS adds is just wasting a ton of fuel, time, and hobby money.
Some like the learning and challenge of doing it myself.
Dick, i think its a little more ,and slower too
