Does anyone have the dimensions or a drawing showing the space between each of the top bows on a 1926 Touring?
Phil Mino has done a great job of documenting the one man top used on the USA 1923-1925 Model T Tourings. See his postings at: http://www.fordfarm.net/25TrgTop.html
http://www.fordfarm.net/25TrgTop2.html
We also have a good guide for the 1915-1922 touring two man tops – Thank you Dan Treace! see: http://modelt.org/discus/messages/2/38725.html?1340404022
But so far I have not located a 1926-27 version of a guide for setting up the top bows. If someone could point Arthur to a posting or reference that would be great. Or if they could add the measurements taken from top of beads on the body to bows; inside to inside of bow wood at center of car. Which is the same way Phil Mino did his drawing that I added the X,Y, Z and A, B, C, D to, it could be used as a guide for preliminary setup of the top frame.
Also see the posting 1926-27 Touring bow lengths, at:
http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/118802/173560.html?1291318078 which has some good advice including a link to Tony’s 1923 top installation slides on his 1923. This also discusses setting the location of the front bow before you do a lot of other things.
I’ll try to do some additional looking later. Or if someone can add those dimensions I will add them to the drawing and repost it.
Respectfully submitted,
