Had to come home to Missourah to deliver a dog and it's owner's ashes to the family farm. Came down to Lake Ozark to T out of storage and drive around a little. Tralered to KC, drove it around, stopped by my favorite "Q" chowed down, drove the cousins around, a few cool nite time drives before and after Issac hit town, toured the the National WW1 Museum (awesome). Back to the Ozarks for a day or two and then the overland trek with T in tow to L.A.
Hate to see it leave Missouri (ee, not ah), but glad you have it available to you now. First met the car in 2003 when your dad joined the St Louis group for the drive to Dearborn.
Here are a couple of photos from that trip. I'm pretty sure that they are your dad's car.
Thanks Dick, didn't have a chance to stay longer or I would have paid you a call. That slow vehicle triangle is still on the car today.
That was a great trip. It was for many of us in STL an introduction to long-distance travel in a T and is probably the reason that Ken Meek, Kent Gilbane and I began doing organized Model T tours - we started with the Show-Me the next year and then started branching out, Hillbilly and points beyond. They were great years. Probably tapering off now... Ken is gone, Anja and I aren't touring any more. Kent still goes on a lot of tours, though, so at least the torch is being carried.
