I noticed this on an old head. it is a high head with Ford script and "Made In USA". Other then the "Z" it's an ordinary head.
Hmmmmm ... if I paint it aluminum and put it on eBay ... ... NOT!! LOL

Maybe it's an 'N' head ;-)
Maybe South of the Equator - but not here in the Northwest <grin>.

I always hear about that, but first time seeing one. Cool.

Thanks for posting that picture, here is another that I have, original Z Ford.
But the new hi comp alum 'Z' by the Zajicek's has a bit different font.
Found it fun to see the different letters and numbers cast into the water outlet of the Ford head, here are a few....
Wonder how many different #'s and letters used over the production of the T?
By 1927 the Ford head lost it's script and no i.d. on the front of the head either
Dan, great idea to use a PVC bung to keep stuff out of the sparkplug holes.
We see letters and numbers all the time in old cast iron cookware. Its the pattern makers mark. Maybe they did the same thing here?
