Hi, I am trying to get my 26 T going and I was wondering what I need to do. What is the best way to start my T just to see if it runs using the hand crank only and a battery?

This is what I have:
A 1926 with 4 coils and wires to the plugs,
I have the wiring harness that goes from the coils to the timer (not wired up yet, need to confirm where the colours connect).

I have a gauge with the ignition key and all the wiring (not connected)
I have a 6v battery
I have the hand starter (motor turns over)
Car rear wheels are off the ground.

I don¡¦t have a starter motor or generator.
My wife thinks I don¡¦t have a clue. ƒº

Here is the most recent diagram. The wire color to the ammeter is changed.

1) Do you have the holes for the starter and generator covered? If not oil will come out on start up.

2) Firing order is 1243. Plugs and coils are numbered 1 in the front to 4 in the back.

Connect wires from bottom row of connectors on the coil box to the timer in the front. You must find #1 top dead center first and hook the primary wire from the coil to the timer in this location. A search of the threads will show how to find TDC and setting the timing.

Now connect the rest of the wires in order 1243 following the direction of timer travel.

Make sure there are no wires connected to the magneto post on the rear top of the engine. (Preventing discharging the magnets in case of error.) Connect the wires from the battery to the engine ground and the bottom terminal of the coilbox. Keep in mind, the wire to the bottom should be switched as this is how you turn off the ignition and yes you can use the ignition switch.

I'm sure more will pop in with more info also.
