Golly, ya'll have helped me with my gutter strips, pancake Hasslers and felt window channels on this almost-restored '26 tudor but I have one more request. Our friend, Ken Kopsky, made and installed the wood frames for the passenger and driver seats but we had no pattern (indeed, I had no seats !) when we began restoration. And my friend, Moody Thomason, supplied 2 of the 4 floor brackets to which the seats mounted and Ken fabricated the other 2. I installed the 4 'cones' on the rear underside of the seats and bought 4 clevis' (clevisii?) to complete the seat install. However, the seats appear way too low on the rear side which leads me to believe there was another 'riser' attached to the seat frames onto which the 'cones' attached to raise the seat and make it a little more level. Can anyone confirm this assumption and provide a description/measurements for this perceived missing piece of wood? As it is now; the cones make the bottom edge of the seats about 1/2" off the floor. Thank you in advance.
Your "cones" may not be high enough. here is a link to another thread on the seats.

Thanks Dale. The height on mine is only 2" and your most welcome measurements said it should be 2 9/16". At first glance mine look just like your pictures in the referenced thread and all the other measurements were the same. Are these I have Model A ? If no one is reproducing them, I shall just have to add a 3/4" piece of hardwood between the 'feet' or 'cones' and the seat wood to get the proper seat level. Sure wish my keyword search function worked. Thanks again. . . george

George,
I find this thread that Dan Knoll posted last year very helpful when you are trying to locate information.

It is a far better way to search the Forum Threads for information.
Thank you Dan for that link. I use it all the time.
Best regards, John
Incredible! Thanks John! I included your link as one of my Favorites on this laptop. When I opened that link I typed in 'tudor' and got a huge amount of pictures and Forum strings - all of which were appropriate for my request. Then when I also included 'front seats', the results were even more specific. That'll help a lot in future research. . . .
