OK, it was pretty dumb leaving the sandblaster out where the leaking plastic cover could let it fill up with rainwater. This morning I set about trying to get the wet sand out of it. I turned on the air and blew out some of the sand. Then I used a piece of conduit to poke more sand down where the air could blow it out.
Poke, blow. Poke, blow. Poke, blow. I could see it was going to take a couple of days to get all of the wet sand out. Then I noticed how moisture dripping out had sand in it, and the light went on.
I hooked up a garden hose and turned on the water.
It may have been longer, but it seemed like only a few minutes before all the sand was washed out and the water was running clear. It may take a day or two out in the sun for everything to dry out, then the Sandblasting Department will be back in business.
Hope a stiff wind doesn't kick up and take all your dry sand away!
Steve some times I think you've got too much to do.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who can create a mess.
Steve,
You have 3 of the four elements: earth, air & water when do you pull out the fire?
Sometimes the best solution is the simplest one!
Steve, we take an air hose, with a Male end, tape it in, and put it in either end, and should should dry it out in about 1/2 hour, at 10, to 15 pounds.
Steve,
After reading this thread, I've spoken with a few other Nebraskans, and decided you can have Kansas back, we don't want it.
If you just add two letters, you and Mike Walker can be in the same state
Rob
Yeah, but we can't get them to pronounce it right.
I recently read that Arkansas is the only state in the union to pass a state resolution on the proper way to pronounce the state name.
Steve,
Congratulations on getting Kansas back, however you pronounce it.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
When my mom was a little girl growing up in Kansas she came home from grade school one day and asked her mother "when are we getting Arkansas back?" ...Her mom told her "we've got their river so it won't be long." -
Wayne, we couldn't pass anything like that in Missouri, because there isn't any agreement on how to pronounce the state name....
Misery?
Ok, all three of you should "give it up". Everyone knows that Kansas and Missouri are really just Arkansas north and northwest.
Mike, your state just keeps getting bigger .
