Summary- "Alice Manfield was the daughter of local pioneer James Manfield, she gained a reputation as Guide Alice. She delighted the first tourists to the remote and rugged plateau with her love and knowledge of the spectacular landscapes around the Gorge, as well as her preference for more practical home-made trouser suits."
