OT....This is just a little invitation to see about 300 Wood Bodied Cars in one place......Along with the MTFCA,I belong the the National Woodie Club of America....As the owner of a Depot Hack I fit right in....This will be Saturday , Sept 15th at Moonlight Beach, in Encinitas ,California.....If anyone wants more information email me or just "Show-up" Saturday......Bring your camera. And your Surfboard......As a teenager I owned about 5 different Woodies,,,, a 39 Std.,two 46s.,,,,and 2 Mercs ,a 46 & a 48.............I can't help but think I'm walking by them now at the Wavecrest.........Say Hi if you see me around a 1920 Hack.....Carl
That's great Carl. Do you ever make the one in HB?
Be There,,,or be square .........How long has it been since you heard that one......I'm just "bumping this to the top" .....Though mostly 30s/40s Woodies there I have seen some Ts before......Heck,I'll be there.........Carl
Well the 2012 Wavecrest is history.......And guess what???? Yours truly walked away with the"Oldest Woodie" trophy....A lot of the cars in the show kinda look alike if you know what I mean.....I was surprised to see the interest in my T...Young and Old wanted to know why "the three pedals"..........When I
Was asked to say a few words at the "mike"......I told them about always having a Model T since I was 13/14 years old and the fun we all have ,driving and working on them.....And how when your out and about they alway seem to get a smile and wave from complete strangers .....There wasn't much "Skill or Talent" winning Oldest Car of the show......like I told them all "All I did was show-up".......Carl
Congrats, Carl! Let's see some pix.
Carl, Thanks for posting, Sorry I missed it but checking out Lake Tahoe right now. Must be about the same weather as you here at 6300+ ft. You need to get your car up to the show near you at Green Valley Lake next year.
