Going to pickup a 1929 kr wilson valve grinder. just needs belt. I already have black and decker version. Is there any value in the KR wilson?
this might help you find out;

We have a dry grinder in the shop wish it was wet. For facing the valves it's not bad but for stem grinding it's a pain. There was a Wilson on craigs list in Portland OR, they are asking $100 for it.

That is actually the one I am getting. Going over in a few minutes to pick it up. Getting it for $50.00 figured it would be worth that.
Should have checked your name first to see where you are at. Good price!
brought it home. Next to clean it up. Kind of neat little tool. Not as fancy as my black and decker but a little more vintage.
Pictures???
Cleaning it up. Will get pictures soon.
It looks like it may have originally been black in color, Does anyone know if this is correct? Red paint has chipped away in many spots and a black paint is underneath. I scrapped at the black and there is nothing under it. The red looks to have been sprayed over everything with no prep before applying it. The GE motor has 1925 patent date and date of mfg 4 1929
Finally resized a couple pictures of valve grinder
Greg, very cool. Fun find. Looking forward to touring with you in your nice looking T next season.
In my experience, most of these old valve grinders are not real accurate. This is one way to check your valves to make sure they are ground true.
Kim that's pretty, is there a nameplate on the fixture?
Bob, it's a neway brand, newaymfg.com.
