Was there ever a Doctor's cutter ??
Garnet
Rob,
Here it is with the $30 optional top...
I'm not all that good a spotter on the earlies, but both pics look like the C came with demountables?
Very fascinating!
Ok, got to ask, what made this design of vehicle more appropriate for a doctor of the time and why would it be marketed as such?
George,
There were several type of tire/wheel on the market. Below is a description of a non clincher 1903 panted tire that has a bolt through the feloe similar to the Ford ad drawing. It is even a tubeless.
Our 1906 N has holes plugged and clincher rims added to convert from one of the early "non clincher" rims it used.
Danial,
Maybe Doctors were a good target market. Affluent, and a car makes more sense for those "spur of the moment" calls such as delivering babies ( house calls).
Rob
Thanks for that Rob...very interesting!
Looks like the doc would have to step pretty high to climb up into that thing.
Steve,
It’s a trick -- the step plate is hidden in the illustration by the front fender. It is similar to stepping up on the Model T running board -- but your aim has to be better.
Respectfully submitted,
