I am working on a 1927 touring car that uses cowlboard, roughly a tar impregnated cardboard, between the fuel tank and cowl. I know that Restoration Specialties sells the stuff, but shipping is prohibitive. Is there a potentially locally available material that I can use for this application?
Thanks

You can get a real nice replica from Lang's. p/n 2918 Fit is very accurate.
Thanks!

You are welcome, the part is already heavy molded cardboard to exact shape, the tank fits well up against it, nice to have a good repro part, there will be no rattles, unless you have loose baffles in the tank
